Kevin Twine, our pianist and Music Coordinator, has been with us for four years. Kevin brings
not only wonderful skills, gospel chops and great accompaniment for our singers, but his spirit of kindness is pervasive.
Kevin works hard to coordinate the variety of musical gifts,tastes and talents in our congregation
into a blended whole. Our goal is not to entertain but to enter authentically into worship by way of this Gate
of Praise.
We are blessed to be led by song leaders who lead the congregation every Sunday in an initial time of praise
and song. Lauren White, Freda and Jack White, Countess Cooper and others offer their voices in this time of spiritual
preparation. Our worship experience is marked by participation. We are not an audience that expects a choir or music
program to entertain us, but we are the congregation and people of God in worship. The congregation is the "first" choir.
Occasionally we have a musical ensemble, especially for holy celebrations like Christmas and Easter. We hope you will
join the first choir and if you have gifts that can bless us otherwise, please let Kevin know.
Our Rogers Trillium organ was renovated four years ago and while we are currently without an organist, it
plays itself for preludes, offertories and postludes.
